The
chrysanthemums, was about a couple that lived in California, and they
spend their days working in their yard, Henry
Allen and his wife Elisa Allen were working one day when Elisa saw her husband
being approach by three gentlemen. Henry sold steers to the gentlemen and
afterwards, he was happy for the progress he made. So he approaches Elisa to
tell her the good news, and mention to her that they should go out to the town
to celebrate. Allen left with a friend, and at the same time Elisa attending to
the chrysanthemums, was approach by a weird looking gentlemen who was in need
of money. So he asked Elisa if she needed anything sharpened for her, and she
told him that she did not. During the conversation, he notices the chrysanthemums and
told that a lady just down the road was interested in growing the
chrysanthemums. She went back in the house to get a sauce pan for the old guy. When
he headed on his way, Elisa hurried back to the house to get ready. Henry arrived
and got ready and they headed out, and on their way Elisa saw the flowers on
the road that she had giving the gentlemen that came by. She then started asking
question about the fight and if other women attended it, they came to the
conclusion that they were going to have dinner and wine.
