Another
story we read was “A Good man is Hard to Find” which was written by Flannery O’Conner.
This was about an elderly woman and her family. She lived with her son bailey,
his wife and their two kids. Bailey’s mother decided that they should go on a road
trip to Tennessee and not Florida, because she had read in the newspaper that a
misfit was heading that way. On the day of the trip, the grandmother hides he
cat and on their way she tells the kid stories. While in the car the
grandmother explain that there was another house, and claimed that she knew a
shortcut. So on their way there, the grandmother realizes that she was wrong
and accidentally let the cat go, which resulted into bailey wrecking the car. After
the wreck they were approached by three men, and one happened to be the misfit,
and the grandmother knowing him, pointed him out. The grandmother tried to
convince the misfit, telling him that he a good man, and he told his friends
that they should take bailey and his son into the woods, Bailey came back and
was later killed by the misfit, so was the grandmother.
